Lopi Pioneer Bay pellet burning insert, possible auger problem.

I have a Lopi Pioneer Bay pellet burning insert. My problem has occurred recently, twice. When turning on the stove, the auger will dump about 2-cups of pellets into the burn bowl. What causes this?

Do you mean it happens all at once, or during the initial start-up?

At start-up, in lieu of dropping 4 or 5 pellets, it would dump about 2-cup of pellets. But, this has only happened twice.
