Hello,

The inside width (side to side) of my fireplace is 34.5 inches. The Lopi Yankee Bay insert I'm considering requires a 36inch minimum clearance (includes circuit board). Does this eliminate one of my finalists? Perhaps there's some play built into the minimum spec?

Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you!

Respectfully,

Tom

There is a thicker trim that's available for a wood stove model but with a little modification it can fit around the Yankee bay shroud. That will pull the stove out from the facing 3 inches instead of the usual 1 inch with the usaual trim. It should make enough clearance for the control to now sit overlapping the facing.
