I am going today to Purchase 2 possibly 3 tons of pellets from lowes.

For the first two tons I am planning on using my $25 off coupon bringing two tons down to $393

I plan on doing a separate transaction for the 3rd ton so I can use my 10% off which would bring that down to $188.10.

Am i correct that I can't use both discounts on the same order?

Am i correct that a ton of pellets counts as a single item?

another scenario is to buy the 2 tons and use the 10% which would drop that to $376.2

and buy an another ton separate transaction and add 9 bags onto the order so I can use my $25 off a $250 Purchase bringing the 59 bags to a cost of $225.67

total cost of 159 bags of pellets to 601.87

provided the coupons and discounts work that way

They would not let me use the % off because they are discounted with a contractor discount for a ton purchase. Bought 3 Tons of Greene team @ $209 a Ton.

It won't hurt to try, what's the worst, they say no. Then you try to argue a bit and see what happens. Why don't you use the 10% on all 3 tons (1 purchase)?

Don't forget to show them the price that the HD is selling them for (probably cheaper) and they will match it and then give 10% off too.

It works for me each year-I use my smart phone to show them. Or, but one bag and take receipt to them.

When you take pictures of the competition's price sign, please post them! I used someone's post last year to get Lowes Corporate to make our local Lowes sell me 3 tons at the New England Lowes price! It took some haggling but it went from $5.99 a bag down to $3.74.

I purchased 8 tons of Greene Teams at contractor price of $188/ton, and then was able to use the 10% military discount on top of that.

X2 - (except my father came with me to use his military discount) - ended up paying $169.20/ton plus flat $65 delivery fee for 3 tons for the GTs. I felt so good I splurged for 2 tons of Hamers for the cold months. I love the smell of pellets in the morning

Not sure how this happened but.... Last friday i left work before I could read the post and hear your warnings. I went to lowes and got 3 tons for 209 a ton. I gave her my coupon and went on my marry way. When i got int he car i noticed my coupon hadn't worked. I went to the service desk and asked what happened. The girl explained the discount situation just as you guys had. She was very nice and tried to work through it and find away to make it work. After a few minutes she decided to try "tricking the computer" after several trys she was finally able to get the computer to give me a military discount and the contractor discount saving me a hundred dollars. I also got some open bags at half price (always buy these when they have them its a crap shoot whether its worth it or not but I think in general it is). So.. 155 bags of pellets for $569.00 roughly (don't have my receipt in front of me). Only thing is i got a brand I have no experience with.. Timber Heat

When I purchased the 8 tons at Lisbon Lowe's they told me they couldn't stack the military discount on top of the contractor's discount. After a couple of days, I stopped by the customer service desk at the Lowe's in Waterford, showed them the receipt, and they had no problem refunding the 10% to my card.

What is this Premium pellet Lowes is carrying now? My buddy told me the local lowes in Plainville is charging 260 a skid for premium pellets...He thought they were Green Team Premiums...golds maybe? I hope they dont start only selling "premium" pellets and doing away with the 209 price

Lowes is gonna be selling a premium hardwood pellet my store here in Norwich,Ny is selling Green Team Platinum no more regular Green Team..All lowes sold their pellets under one SKU 87059 now they have a different SKU for the super premium pellets but will keep the same price on all the other brands..Guess this was done so they don't have to raise price on pellets but can get more $$ for the super premium pellets
