After burning about 5 bags of these I've concluded they are pretty good.

No problems except more ash than Lignetics ( Maine Woods are 80/20 hardwoor/softwood vs LG's 100% hardwood ) and the glass gets dirty faster, for the same reason I assume.

They are smaller too and some are really small but haven't jammed up my auger, yet anyway.

Burn hot too.

I Have never burned them, but I can't believe there is anything bad that could ever come out of the north Maine woods. Thats God's country..

I have many relatives in Maine and NH too.

And many fond memories of my childhood visiting all of them with my family.

Ive burned a bunch of them in that last cold snap. more ash is the only drawback Ive seen, plenty of heat from them (more so than the penningtons I think)
