Hi gang,

My home was built in 1982 with a Marco Zero clearance built in fireplace.

I am looking to buy a set of glass doors and a fan for it.

It is a model DF40-1B stamped on the nameplate.

The nameplate also says to use:

BD4 only for the glass doors

BF-2S only for the fan

Assuming that these are no longer available because of the age, can I get a generic set of doors and a fan.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Tim

OK. I got a reply from a dealer in regards to the fan. They can get it for $250.00 + shipping and handling.

As for the doors, they say they are no longer made.

I went to a local fireplace dealer and talked to them about having some doors custom made.

All in all, they want $900.00 to have the doors made. This includes the measuring of my fireplace, custom make, shipping and handling, tax and the and installation.

I don't know, sounds damn expensive for a set of doors.

What do you all think?

I really want a set of doors, but $900.00 bucks is a lot of change for a few pieces of glass and a few hinges and brackets.

Anyone else have any better ideas or resources?

Thanks,

Tim
