I picked up my 4th ton for the coming season. I went to Menards and got a ton of Somersets. Paid $ 224. Also found out for next year that they will deliver 5 tons of Somersets and charge a trip fee of 100 or so. Thats only 20 dollars a ton. Sounds like a good deal. This is my first ton of Somersets, and since everyone likes em so much I can't wait to burn em. I have 3 tons of Propellets which I'm going to burn on shoulder months and burn the Somersets in Jan, Feb. I will be picking up another ton of Somersets in about a month, and will be done for the season.

Also a quick note, I noticed menards has their pellets protected from the rain......if any of you have a menards by you what pellets do they offer in your area ??

Menards in n.w. wisconsin carries Indeck and Pennington brand pellets. :bug:

The one in TC....

I love somersets. I just picked up 2 tons in Waregan CT. $220 a ton. They burn very hot and the ash is way less than any other brand I have used. I know everyone here loves okies but I burned 1 ton of those last year and had tons of ash. I had to clean pretty much every day. With the Somersets There was very little ash and they burned just as hot.

Did they have a sale at Long pond in Wauregan?? I've been keeping an eye on their website and it says Somersets @ $249 a ton 8-28-10.

You know what, I must have been tired when I wrote that. I did pay $249 per ton and I think its a very fair price for such good pellets. I did get them at long pond. Im in RI so its only like 20 min away for me. The owner was a really nice guy too. Will buy from there again.
