Montecito owners...a question

How well do the refractory plates hold up on the Montecito?

I read about someone here having the refractory plates crumble. Is anyone else having problems with the refractory plates?

Two seasons in, no problems (or signs of problems) so far. They seem pretty durable.

Thanks LIJack! Are you getting the heat you anticipated from the unit? We are still considering all aspects of the zc and possibly a wood stove in alcove. Everyone here has been great sharing theirs experiences.
