Hi all,

I have a used Fireview 201 waiting to be installed in front of my fireplace. I was all set to buy a 316 stainless flex king pro vent kit and have my chimney guy install it. Then he said he could save me $$$ on the kit and would install and clean the chimney for $500. So I was aiming to come in well under $1000 installed.

He just emailed me an estimate that upgraded the liner to a 304 - says this is thicker and safer - and the cost is now $1175 for the liner and to clean the chimney and install.

So my question is whether y'all are familiar with this 316 vs 304 liner business and whether or not it would be worth it to pay more. I'm a little frustrated, and freezing now in the room where the stove is supposed to go.

Thanks!
Mary
