Looks like some possible high winds which usually brings down some cherry.

* WINDS... SOUTHEAST 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH POSSIBLE.

* TIMING... WINDS WILL STEADILY INCREASE DURING THE DAY SUNDAY. THE HIGHEST WINDS SHOULD OCCUR DURING SUNDAY AFTERNOON INTO EARLY SUNDAY EVENING BEFORE DIMINISHING SUNDAY NIGHT.

Sounds nasty Zap. Better to stay out of the woods when that is going on.

Does this mean all the snow will miss you on this round? Maybe we'll get it all instead.

Sounds rough last snow storm here they called for 4 inches we got 12. That was last week.

Sav, the latest weather report is calling for 1-3 inches but it seems to change everyday. Did you get your new toy yet?

... ADVERSE WINTER WEATHER WILL OCCUR SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT...

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS OUR REGION SATURDAY NIGHT BRINGING SHARPLY COLDER TEMPERATURES. SNOW SHOWERS WILL OCCUR ACROSS MOST AREAS SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT. AT THIS TIME WE ARE EXPECTING TOTAL SNOW FALL UP TO 4 INCHES ACROSS NORTHERN SECTIONS FROM KOKOMO TO MUNCIE. TWO INCHES FROM CRAWFORDSVILLE TO INDIANAPOLIS AND JUST UNDER A INCH FROM VINCENNES TO BEDFORD.

THE COMBINATION OF SNOW... WINDS UP 30 MPH AND BITTER COLD TEMPERATURES WILL PRODUCE BLOWING SNOW IN SOME AREAS MAINLY NORTH OF A CRAWFORDSVILLE TO INDIANAPOLIS AND NEW CASTLE LINE. CONDITIONS MAY BE ESPECIALLY BAD IN RURAL COUNTIES WHERE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW IS MORE LIKELY TO OCCUR.

PERSONS TRAVELING ON SUNDAY SHOULD LISTEN TO LATER STATEMENTS FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.

Jay, watched the weather at 2200, now the winds are up to 40mph. Also supposed to track more northerly than what they first reported, which puts you right in the path.

"Wind...northwesterly winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph will develop across the Illinois River valley by Sunday morning.. then spread eastward to the Illinois Indiana border by Sunday afternoon."

Splitnstack, most of our wood that is seasoned for one year is cherry. We have enough cherry bucked, split and stacked for another two years of burning after this burning season is done.

Cherry is nice too burn and seasons quick.

Pure pleasure to split by hand as well. You getting freezing rain there Zap? Looks like we might just get rain.

I just checked weather.com map and the feezing rain is going to hit around 10:00 am.

Edit 10:39 am, looks like the freezing rain might stay north and south of us. (right on the edge)

Still waiting for the high winds, went back in the woods with the rhino today and it was like early spring with the trails just soaked with water.
