In The Woods
Looks like I'll be clearing a trail in so I can get these out before December, looks like a good cherry and a suspect beach, I think when I took the pictures we had a pine living in the trunk of the beech.

Looks like some of the cherry I recently cut after some storms came thru here in the last month or so. I was lucky and able to throw a rope around them and pull them down with my truck.
Based on the amount of wood you cut I'm guessing this will season for several years before you actually need it. This year we will be burning mostly cherry and I hope we have enough!

Zap, sometimes I look at your pictures and think you would be better served by a bulldozer than a felling saw.

muncybob we're figuring on burning just over three cord this year so if I'm correct we have over four years of wood bucked and stacked. Last year we burned around 4.5 - 5 cords of Cherry with some Sugar Maple. Also for next year we have some quaking aspen for the shoulder season instead of Cherry.

Last Friday we finally used our old anchor rope with a two pound weight and brought down a hung up branch, worked out real good combined with the winch on the rhino.

Danno77 that would be nice, this is in a area that had a trail sometime ago but needs some clearing so if Saturdays nice then I'm heading here so I can get this out before the first snow.

The wife is a big fan of Beech and Sugar Maple so I'll grab the Beech then the Cherry.
