Had a storm last night that blew a big branch off the neighbors Mountain Ash tree. He wants to take the whole thing down. Are these trees similar to White or Green Ash as far as burning goes? I might hit him up for the wood unless it's crap.
 
By Mountain Ash, do you mean Rowan? Rowan should burn slow and hot. It's in the hawthorne, blackthorne family of rose trees.
(Correction, in the north there is Sorbus americana (American mtn ash) and Sorbus aucuparia (european mtn ash, aka rowan)
