Question:

I just installed a large cast iron woodstove in my masonry fireplace. The stove sits out in front of the fireplace on a hearth. The stove has no fan and I would like some idea on how to circulate the heat coming off from the back and top of stove. I have seen these Vornado fans (?) but have not seen them for sale anywheres.I would like to put some type of fan in and behind the back of the stove to blow this hot air out into the room. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Answer:

If the fan is sitting on the floor a decent distance back from the stove then you could use any sort of small desk fan. There are small doorway fans sold at many stove stores that would also do the trick.
