Looks like our ignitor went - (well I think that's what it is). We're just dumping pellets and nothing's getting hot. This is coming up to our 3rd winter and up until now it's been great. This season we started her up about 2+ weeks ago - no probs. My dh cleaned it out over the weekend. Everything fine. Then sometime yesterday - it just stopped. Will do autoclean through to startup mode but stalls.
DH called for service -they wanted him to reclean this and that - see if it would then work - no, (before they would come out) and they say it could take 2-3 weeks for parts after the telephone troubleshooting. Warranty says 3 years on parts so we better still be good.
Any other things to try in the meantime?
(Good thing it's not that cold yet and we have backup heat)
thanks

If you didn't already try searching and asking this question on iburncorn.com quadra fire forum. They had a lot off post about AE's and igniters

Are you able to fire it up manually if need be until you get a new ignitor?

How old is the mt vernon? the igniter is coverd if the stove is older have your dealer drill some air holes into the holder per tech update.

Yeap as stoveguy said, there was a tech bulletin for a modification of the ignitor chamber. Just involves drilling a few holes and adding a washer. Gives the ignitor more air flow and extends the life of it.
