I liked the thought of flannel pajamas for a bit but these were size XL. Besides all my clothing is work grade, the lightest thing I own is sweats. We went to the store to exchange them and I came home with a Fiskars X7 hatchet. You got to love a store that carries tools and clothes. Now to go chop some kindling, I get back with my review! :-/

I just received the x-11 for my birthday last week. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet and am hoping to tonight. That x-7 looks like a nice unit too but I already have a hatchet that size.

My review is.... It is good! I have never actually owned a hatchet before. The small wood handled axe called a "boy's axe" is what I have used for kindling for years. It is kinda over size hatchet / under size axe that could and has been used like a full size axe to chop a small dead standing tree while camping. I like the compact size and the lite weight, the grip is just the right size with gloves on. While the purchase was not completely necessary it gave me an excuse to exchange the pajamas. I run the stove a bit on the warm side anyway.... :smirk:
