The second picture looks like a Crab Apple I pruned last summer. It'd be easier to ID it when it has leafs or blossoms if they appear.
 
If your in Mississippi, looks like black gum Nyssa sylvatica. Is that a loblolly pine in the background? Might be hard to split if open grown.

This little tree has been in our pasture for years. The cows like to rub up on it. Just always wondered what it was
 
After looking more closely it may be in the apple, peach, pear, plum family. Does it have white blossoms? Ever see fruit? I see a few thorns or spines, could be a crateagus spp.
