You mentioned liking that wood heat was 'green' in your first post- this looks pre EPA?
 
I did find casual mention of a Conestogo stove made by Findlay back in the late 70s early 80s. True, it isn't going to win any clean burner awards, but it does look stout and in good exterior condition. Have you looked at the stove? Is the firebox lined? Does it have an interior baffle above the firebox?

The stove will need large clearances relative to some of the stoves earlier suggested and is not going to look as pretty. You'll have to determine whether you are willing to give up the extra floor sq ftg. to accommodate it. 8"pipe will cost more and is oversized for most modern stoves. Also, the stove will consume more wood, so add the cost of an additional cord if you are purchasing wood. However, if you are considering getting this stove for now and moving up to a big BlazeKing later, then it may do. But by my thinking, in a year or two, a Napoleon or a PE stove would have paid for itself in smaller pipe, less space and lower wood consumption.
