Hi all,
I live in northern westchester county, ny near rockland and putnam counties. I purchased a Mount Vernon insert 2 years ago, and just recently had the stove cleaned and serviced. I am now having a problem with the self clean mechanism. I have had this problem before, but the technician I used told me to just pull it pack to its original position. I did this, and it worked, but since the stove has been serviced, it keeps getting stuck. I have moved it back in place at least 5-6 times, and it will then run, but when it shuts off, I will then get the error message to check the auger pan. My question is does anyone know someone in my area that could service this, and will it be covered under the warranty? The guy I have used to install and fix the stove is a little rough around the edges, and the last time he came was outright offensive and rude. He was the man connected to where I purchased the unit, but I was wondering if I could get someone else to service the stove under warranty, and show me how to clean the unit myself. I was never shown how to clean the unit when it was installed, and it turns out there are many more compartments that needed to be cleaned that I never knew about. I am new to owning a pellet stove, and would like to learn all that I can, but I don't want to be treated poorly in the process.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Don't know what brands he covers, but I have used Ray Hart 845-449-9828
