Hello ,
I have a Washington Stoveworks Olympic fireplace insert, with two hinged doors. The glass in one of the doors was cracked when we bought our house and has now (18 years later) broken out. I have had a terrible time trying to find someone to repair this unit and any advise on the matter would be greatly appreciated. We live in central California.

that glass needed is "pyroceram" or ceramic glass, 1400 degree rated, its expensive , but can be found , and for a price , cut to size, check with local specialty glass shops if unsuccessful finding a dealer that might have it. glass is usually 3/16th , to 1/4 thick

DONT USE PYREX!!!!!!!!!!! not rated nearly high enough and will fracture.

hope this helps
