Need Wood ID Help Again

I cut and split this wood this weekend and need help to identify it. This was deadfall from a much larger tree that appeared to be a black locust, thorns and all. When I split it, I had some doubts as the wood has a distinct reddish hue to it. It's hard to see in the picture but not characteristic of descriptions of locust that I've found. Thanks for the assist!

Looks like honey locust
 
If it had thorns and has reddish wood I'd say Honey Locust. That looks a lot like the Honey Locust I've cut.
