Just recently finished a corner brick hearth using thin bricks over concrete/metal lath/concrete board/plywood/2x3s. Took about 2 full
days to complete. I was concerned at first about the thin bricks cracking after laying them out initially and stepping on them. However,
this problem resolves when they are set in mortar and grouted. This was my first ever brick project and I learned a lot about what not to
do next time! We had a Napoleon 1400 installed last week.
