Was reading about that this morning. I thought it said 100 mile range..maybe it was 100 kilometers. what do you think the idea of not owning, but "leasing" the use of the batteries? The tech seems very neat. I like how the batteries don't look like car batteries. Seems more "friendly". Wanna make a poll about the expected retail on the scooters themselves? I'll toss in the first guess at $4000

Neat! I ride a large scooter to work when the weather permits (2006 Yamaha Majesty 400cc) but the frame on that gogoro.... oof, I wouldn't want to take that thing anywhere near 60MPH :p

A scooter of the class/size that I own with EV tech would be a supreme and very practical machine IMO.

Leasing the batteries should bring down the cost of the scooter and ensure that you have fresh batteries charged and ready. The problem is this scheme only works well in dense urban areas. Getting this form factor battery accepted as a standard (like AA batteries) would help a lot, but I would still want a home charging and battery purchase option.

EV scooters will be moving more people in Chindia than EV cars will in US/EU.

We might as well join in the fun! :)

And all of SE Asia. I am also imagining what else folks will be powering off of these batteries. Certainly they will bring night lighting to some, but maybe tool power too?
