Slow burn

We recently moved into a new house. With the house there was or is a Warner w124 I believe? The owner said that they had only used a couple times a year when the power went out. Single door, no blower looks like it could take up to a 24 inch log. It looks like a pretty straight forward stove. Is there anything I should look out for? Tips for burning? Last year in the other house I had a Nashua, similar construction. It would regularly get the house up to 80 on a New Hampshire February day! Hoping this stove is pretty much the same deal
