No harm but no real gain unless it is going to be a show piece and not burning anymore.
 
No its not going to be a show piece, I had to disassemble it because many of the seems were leaking from old rotted stove cement, and I figured I would wire wheel everything and since it's apart I'd go ahead and paint it as well.

But yeah it's gonna be a fully running and functioning unit that's been restored lol
