I picked up five 8' pieces of slant fin tubing today to add my no power dump zone to my Econoburn 200.

Just wondering what methods you all used to plumb?

I was thinking putting it near the ceiling with

1. All sections T together in a manifold.

2. Supply enters one corner and leaves on the opposite corner.

3. Auto air vents at high point with a boiler drain to purge air.

Fin tube is 3/4" do I need to use 1" for manifold, supply and return?

Any thoughts on spacing of fin tube?

Attached a picture.

I thought I would hang it down form the ceiling 6 to 8 inches.

Also thinking about the controls for the No power dump to be used as an overheat zone.

1. Econoburn control energizes an overheat circuit at 215

2. Connect over heat circuit to a RIB relay Normally closed contacts

2. 24 volt line power to Automag would be broken by above RIB when energized by the overheat circuit.

Main circuit will still be flowing, so water should naturally flow through the dump zone after the Automag looses power from the energized overtemp circuit.

So what do you think?
