Man these things are great. I went through 2 tons of barefoots previously and was cleaning the stove about every 3 days due to ash levels. The North Countrys are great in that my glass as been extremely clean since running 5 bags through and there is minimal ash coating the stove.

They are very small pellets (broken up quite a bit) but my enviro ef-4 has no problem pushing them through. And to boot, the house has been the warmest it has seen since the beginning of the winter using these pellets. With the Barefoots, I was having troubles getting the first floor over 70°, but this morning I came downstairs and the temperature was 74°. I actually had to turn the stove down a bit.

    Overall, very impressed.

I picked up a bag, just to try them out in the shop.
Went out after dinner to lock up, and I could smell the heat...
    Was pretty surprised...

They sure are. I attached a couple of pictures showing the bag and the makeup of the pellet. I bought a ton from Pellets Direct in Uxbridge, MA and will try and stock up on a few tons over the summer. By far the best pellet I have pushed through the stove to date.

Hmmm I wanted to try them out this year as our other local stove shop got them in. I wish I would have. May have to grab a ton of this next season to try with my other brand.

I came on this morning to review these as well. I don't know where OP is seeing North Country Power anywhere on the bag but I have the same ones and agree with everything he/she says. Hottest I've burned yet. Which includes okies, La Crete, source pointe, okie doug fir, and energex. My informal testing shows hottest (260ish) air coming out of my Santa Fe. Okies are around 250. They also smell great. Best smelling pellets I've had, better than the douglas firs from okanagan. I will def buy these again. Clean, HOT, and smell great. Minimal fines, too.

Of course, I go to pick up a few to try and my supplier is out until the end of the week :) I am finding the Lacwood produce a lot of ash. How is the ash on the North Country?

Ok, I have been hearing such good things about them. I have to try them. The Lacwoods seem to be back with their issue of inconsistent length.

I emailed the company asking who sold them in my area, but no response. Anyone know if they are available in midwestern Ontario? I'm near Stratford, easy driving distance to Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, London...

I got to try a few bags of these a couple weeks ago. Excellent pellet. The burning experience was the same as La Cretes. Very impressive heat and very light fluffy ash that blows right out of the pot.

I hope this years batch is as good as last years. Just bought a brandy new Harman Accentra 52i to replace my tired and worn out Enviro EF-4. Safe to say I am counting the days until Jack Frost shows up. Going to finally dominate the cold.....
