Not so great deal on a Stihl 020AVT...

What makes you think its a phony? 020's were known as a little finicky, but they cut like a banshee. I'd pay $150 for a good one.
 
I've never actually seen the original 020AV. With the handle and cheap-looking handguard, it looks nothing like the 020 that I'm more familiar with. A little more research turns up more exmpales of the older style.

No need to do that! I only know because I looked at one locally on craigslist..... it was that old style and was built like a tank, similar to the 041's.
