We took a day trip To Odiorne State Park in Rye, NH today. Looking south at the next point of land down from the park was what looked to be a large flock of Cormorants sitting on the rocks. We took a walk down and did not expect this. There are literally several hundreds if not over a thousand small stone cairns put up by visitors to the rocky point. There are more than meets the eye in the pictures as they are made from the local stone and blend in very well. Every two feet or so there is one, and the area is close to an acre in size.

I have to believe it is pretty cool to see on a foggy morning or at sunrise.

its like Rapa Nui (Easter Island)...only slightly less grand. I love Odiornes Point and its Seacoast Science Center. A fantabulous picnic spot for those who don't enjoy the mobs of people at the beaches. Pretty decent view of the Isles of Shoals and sometimes a giant mega ship will pass by. good times.

What will the archaeologists say about that ten thousand years from now? They'll say it was some kind proof that space aliens were somehow involved.
