I been renting a house with a napoleon nps40 pellet stove. I have never had one or used one before. I been running it for a month now and find I'm cleaning the top burn pot area of ash is too much.

I run auger on 4 and air flow on 2. Has a nice flame only 2 inches above burn pot. No unburned pellets or clogging in burn pot.

Things I've done already.
1. Cleaned both blowers
2. Cleaned chambers behind covers.
3 found intake for exhaust not installed outside. Will get renter to fix.
4. Tries different air set points to reduce ash. Didn't work
5. Tried 4 different pellet brands no help.

I don't know if this is normal so here are a few pictures.

I'm new to the forum and been reading other post that helped me with other issues already. Thanks in advance!

I get the same build-up in my Ecoteck/Ravelli stock. May just be the nature of the beast.
