Good Evening, I have an older Napoleon NPS40 that was subjected to a power surge, prior to my installing a surge protector. The units convection blower and combustion blower now come on as soon as it is plugged into a/c . The unit works fine otherwise, however, the blowers do not shut off either. I believed that the lower limit switch was the culprit, so I changed it out but, to no avail. Did I install a faulty switch, the wrong switch maybe, or did I toast out a controller ??

sounds like a fried control board. Unless I am thinking wrong, those blowers should never come on at the same time. Combustion on startup, convection when heat reached.

Haven't had a chance to do any more investigating on the problem, We are having a cold snap here in Maine so it's not a good time to tear into it . It works fine , just doesn't shut down properly. Thanks for asking. I will post when I get back into it.
