Its that time every two years where I need to get Professional Development House (PDHs) for my license as I always come up short around license renewal time. I paid for a hydronics course from Heatspring a few years back and remember seeing reference that NYSERDA paid John Siegenthaler to do a biomass and pellet boiler course. I decided to take it the last few days and without a doubt it should required viewing for anyone designing a biomass heating system. His teaching style is great and the slides and photos he uses are well selected. It covers a lot in 8 hours (broken into segments). I do like his radiant wall and ceiling systems and am considering doing a few rooms with it. Its labor intensive but less expensive than low temp baseboards. The 40 hour paid hydronics course goes into a lot more detail but is less oriented to biomass.

Heatspring.com has quite few paid and free courses on all sorts of energy related subjects. There is an excellent free 45 minute course on selecting cold source mini splits.
