If your house is going to be tight enough to affect the performance of a wood stove, you're going to have big moisture problems in that house.

Conversely, if your house is ventilated well enough to prevent problems with moisture buildup in the house – as it should be – it should be ventilated well enough to run a woodstove.

There is such a thing as insulating a house TOO well. Who wants to live in a sealed sewer pipe and smell last month's beef flatulence (and be scrubbing mold buildup) all the time?
