OAK install question

We are currently building our house and it will be very tight, requiring an air exchange system (life breathe). I realize we'll probably need an OAK for the woodstove, but if we already have an air exchange system, would we still need the OAK?
 
I would, especially if you have power outages and the air exchange system is powered.
