OAK through the roof ?

Has anyone ran there oak through there roof? i have an insert with a zero clearance box the 3 inch pipe exits the box and runs through the roof of my garage and wanted to add an OAK but did not want to pipe along the walls. I just wanted to follow the 3 inch pipe. what do you think is this a good idea. Here is a picture of the 3 inch pipe
