OAK?

Do you absoulutly have to have one of these installed?.....I don't have one for my stove and it seems to be running fine...

I think my Giants did not have an OAK last weekend and that may be why they choked.

Did you get hold of the manual for that 'Pellet Bread Loaf'
 
Recipe:

1 lb. of fines (softwood)
1 cu ft of forced air.

Heat at 30,000 BTUs until done.

Sprinkle with flavored ashes using a leaf blower.

(one slice warms the tummy) ;-P

No, not absolutely needed, but IMO, after reading about them, if you have the $, time, and ability to install one, I would do it. I think the advantages outweigh the disadvantges.

The main one for me is that I'm not using already heated air, and sending it outside. Secondly, it eliminates the stove as a source of negative pressure inside the house, which trys to pull outside (cold) air into the living space.
