2014 was a good summer for squash. We are going to be having it frequently this year. This is the first squash picking, there are still several more ripening. We are still getting boxes full of tomatoes and peppers. How has your garden done?

I got 6 tomatoes, no eggplant, and 5 peppers :mad:
 
Tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, peppers, basil all did real well ............. squashes and pumpkins OK ................. radish, turnip, beets, nothing ..........
 
What the heck do you do with the excess? Tomatoes I can see: sauce. My wife makes pesto with the basil and freezes it. But pumpkins (which I hate), and squash and cucumbers, etc: what do you do with it? I've gotten tomatoes from people giving them away.
 
Serrano peppers picked today (gotta go trade a bunch out for other peppers to a friend) few pounds of those. Tomorrow I get the chili peppers and jalapeños and about 15 pounds of tomatillos and the balance of cherry and grape tomatoes.
I could let em all go a bit longer but the leaves are dropping and fall clean up alongside a massive salsa making session would be too much.

Hauled about 20 pounds of these purple potatoes out of the CT garden last week. Really cool looking.

Mostly we process it and eat it. Obviously we like squash. It makes great soups, pies, stuffed shells and is delicious just plain. All ways are good! It also freezes up very nicely. With this big crop, this year well also trade some with a friend for fresh eggs and flowers.
