I have been wanting to build a gas firepit. As much as I like burning wood, sometimes I don't want to go through the trouble to light a wood fire at 10 o'clock, this is the perfect alternative for me. It is funny that I won't light the furnace in the winter but I don't mind burning gas outside in the summer. I did the entire project for about $60.

I won't know til I get my bill, we have city gas. We only use it a few times a week for about an hour.
