Found a great deal on a chop saw for cutting up pallets at Home Depot. $59.99 out the door price comes with a 10 inch carbide tipped blade. Its just big enough to cut a 4x4 post and so far has not been bothered by hitting an occasional nail. I cut up about 1/8 cord of pallet wood without any trouble at all. The only complaint is that the guard does sometimes get in the way on larger pieces.
