Pellet basket works great!

Tried heaping pellets on the stove floor and they failed - fire smoldered out.

Tried a pellet basket elevated a few inches off the firebrick and it was a great success.

I'm using in a sauna stove, so am not concerned with heating a house. But for my use, basket works fine. Sauna got to 150 degrees and I sweated like hell!

Yeah I got one a couple of months ago and gave it a run. Thing works great but is kinda a hassle doing reloads. I know for sure when we have visitors I am going to use it. Makes a beautiful fire.

I've heard some decent reports - but, yeah, in most cases it's easier to handle a bio log, and the prices are similar...
