Price is much less. But I know you get what you pay for. any info?
Thanks

It is not a cold start, triple pass boiler with an outdoor reset like my Buderus G115WS so it does not sound really efficient because it maintains 180 Degree Boiler water all the time. That will burn alot of wood pellets!

In my opinion, wood pellets are not the most efficient way to heat water. I use 1.0 to 1.5 bags a day to heat my whole house with one 45k BTU FS pellet stove.

For hot water (DHW), some electric on demand or HP units seem to be very cost effective.

Such as the Stiebel Eltron Tempra 24 Plus. The Tempra 29 Plus requires (3) 220 Volt lines. The 24 only requires 2 lines.
This unit adds approx. $15 per month to the electric bill.

or like the Electric HP water heater.
There’s a lot more info on the GE site: http://www.geappliances.com/heat-pump-hot-water-heater/
