We have a Flame FP-45 that we was installed 5 days ago. Last night it shut down with an flashing H1 error message. We follow the trouble shooting, cleaned and reset the board. Today it shut down again with an flashing H2 - but will not reset. Has anyone experienced the same situation with this unit? We've tried to contact the technicians but have had not response by email and their telephone lines are continuously busy.

H code warnings.....Warning caused by one of the two automatic L-250 sensors: one is located under the pellet chute and the other
one is inside the hopper heat shield . H1,H2,H3 Heat exchanger and/or exhaust system is/are clogged. Refer to the owner’s manual
for maintenance procedures. It is in the OM. http://a1stoves.com/free/FlameFP45OM.pdf. I would say your clogged or one of the two sensors is bad. Looking at the diagram they look like snap disc on my Quad CB1200i. MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG THE STOVE and check the two sensors. That should be under your warranty so check with your dealer before you do anything. Part numbers are in the OM as well. Good luck.

Sounds like the H2 safety is a manual reset snap disc. You will have to remove panels and find it. The will be a red button on the snap disc. You need to push it in to reset it. Resetting will not void the warranty. But if you continue to run the stove and it trips this disc. You may damage something else.

As mralias has stated, There seems to be an issue with the stove or the disc is bad. Or you are over-firing the stove. Better to contact the dealer that sold the stove to you.

Thanks for the replies. We tried to see the reset button but aren't comfortable with taking the stove apart. There obviously is an issue with one of the senors. It has only been used for 4 1/2 days when it began the warnings. We followed the instructions in the manual - cleaned it out, cleaned with the cleaning rod, etc., but it simply did it again. Interestingly the shut down and the flashing happens shortly after we change the temperature? Hopefully their technicians will be back in tomorrow morning and we can sort it out. Either that or it is going back! Probably good that it has happened before it was too cold!

So we were able to determine that it is a problem with the board - which they are going to replace. At one point it wouldn't even reset for the technician!

Glad to hear it's working out. That's the big advantage to burning a few bags before it gets 20 below.
