Hi everyone,
I've been lurking here for a while and finally broke down and purchased a Breckwell P23 pellet stove insert the other day. I have a ranch home with a large basement area under the fireplace. I'm trying to plan the install and I'm a little iffy on the best way to supply power to to the insert. The cord itself is about 12" too short to reach an outlet to the side wall about 5 feet away. The insert is being installed in a masonry fireplace. I'd rather not have the power cable hanging out the front of the insert and plug into the outlet on the side wall. What I would like to do is to run power from underneath the firebox (via the basement) and come up through the firebox floor to wire an outlet in the fireplace. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to perform this properly? If not, does anyone have any inventive ways to hide the power cord for their insert?
