Depends on the brand and model. 30 days max on some. More and more manufacturers are adding an additional UV layer on the outside, like a 5 layer pex. This buys some additional protection time.
It will also break down if exposed to fluorescent lighting some say..?
Vanguard, now a Viega brand is now stating indirect lighting will not bother their tube. Earlier info said to avoid indirect sunlight?
I got a few coils that had been under a semi trailer for a summer, it would break like glass when you flexed it. This was many years ago before the additional protective layers were added.
