I have a Heat and Glow GEM-42B unvented gas fireplace with electronic ignition. The pilot light will light but will not stay lit. Once lighted the pilot light will only stay lighted as long as the electronic ignition is sparking. Once the sparking stops the pilot light goes out. Also, if I try to light the burner while the pilot light is lit the pilot light goes out.
Does anyone know what the problem is and what parts may be needed? Help would be appreciated!

Sounds like a plugged Oxygen Depletion Sensor (ODS). Take a can of compressed air & see if you can clear the pilot tube.
There should be a small hole on that tube, maybe 3/32" diameter, which is the ODS port.
It can get blocked with dust & needs to be cleared periodically.
