    Today we took a trip to Lake Placid to see some minor soccer games, after that it was Saranac Lake,Tupper Lake and Wanakena New York where we at at the Pinecone.

    Most of the pics are from the riverside of the restaurant, leaves were nice but we had lots of fog and clouds.

    I added two pictures, the ski jumps in Lake Placid with the second picture of the soccer field with the mountains in the back.

    what a beautiful area.....was up in lake Placid maybe 10 years ago for a firefighters parade...always said i wanted to get back there..

    I think if we take up a colletion we could get enough money that iskiatomic would take on the ski jumps, maybe a gross of beer just for his own safety.

    to be completely honest ..i,m cant remember where they started, i was just a spectator but i do remember the parade going thru the center of
    town and ending at the Lake Placid F.D.

    i was watching from in front of what i think was the building they had the indoor skating in

    Yes, they have the rink from the 32 Olympics and the 80 Olympics with the practice rink in the back.

    looks like a really cool place to grab a bite, and a look at the menu, the prices are right too !!

    gonna have to see if the Mrs wants to take a rod trip before winter sets in

    Zap, it appears you have much better color this year vs last year. It appears to be only slightly ahead of our colors. It is weird here as most of the soft maples are beautiful red yet others are totally green. Sassafras are beautiful too.
