What kind of pipe supports, hangers, or clamps, are commonly used when running lengths of iron pipe either:

1) Along a wall
2) From the ceiling,
3) A few inches above a cement floor
4) Laying on the top side of ceiling joists (in the attic).

What distance do you need to maintain between the pipe supports? I'll be using mostly 1.5 inch black iron pipe.
