After this last snowfall the wood stacks are snowbound, looks like the pellet stove will see some action until I can clear a trail.

We did get wood in before the storm but this snow looks like it will be around for a bit.

It won't take zap long to plow a path from woodpile to house! In the meantime, he is probably out doing some cross country skiing.

Have wood for 9-10 days. I'll be working on the trail to the wood stacks again tomorrow. I usually am able to keep it open but all the snow fell from midnight to seven in the morning.
We bought 50 bags of pellets for this year, perfect time to use some.

We need a storage shed built by next fall, that comes before the wood shed or cabin. How are the pier blocks holding up, I'm not sure what I'll use that's why I'm asking.

I can't run it without the plow, looks like more snowblower action tomorrow. It's our biggest snow fall in our 9 plus years here.

Working just fine. Might be a little movement when the ground freezes, but not noticeable.

Two feet in certain areas, I'm thinking a good 2-3 hours of work, that won't get me to the area we put the wood in.

Damn zap. This has been an interesting year for weather, that's for sure. We are only 1 week into winter, and it looks like the weather pattern will remain. Good luck up there buddy.

I was at our local store this morning, I ask the owner where all the snowmobiles were, he told me they were not running the trails yet because they were waiting for the trail groomer, the guy that runs the trail groomer told the owner he was waiting for the snowmobiles to pack down the trails first. o_O

I'm worried about getting to the wood!

I hate to do this but I just changed the weather pattern for the month of January 2013, all storms will shift to the coast, wet heavy snow.

That was easy, better bookmark this.
