Well, took today off from work and decided to shut down this morning and do a deep clean including venting this afternoon.

As I was home all day, Teresa came up early for the weekend and into a house with no stove burning:
THAT is playing with fire ! Only it is more dangerous than the one in my stove :p

Cleaning done, first bag of North Country Pellets are in and all is good again ! !

Damn straight, she said that she got a catalog in the mail from a Mrs Pellet Troll. ;)

Only lit the stove 30 minutes ago, but initial on North Country is looking promising. Low tech turkey thermometer us showing about 255 deg right now and very little ash. Running stove temp/auto. Feed rate of 3 and temp setting at 5 of 7. Fly ash is white and not the dark gray that everything else has given this year.

Teresa has been burning these for the last week. I took 10 bags from her 60 bag pallet when we picked them up last weekend. So far she loves them.

Nice. Still haven't ventured over to my sisters to steal a couple of bags of North Country. Hopefully this weekend.

Sorry, Pete's on his own: she is a rare find ! Gotta love a girl that burns pellets, drives a Chevy Avalanche and cleans her own stove. Although she relies on me to do the homework here and pass along the knowledge-
I get many phone calls or texts such as "did you say that xyz brand was good" ? Cant fault her for that :)

We know where you live and the bosses all have stacks of skillet catalogs and rolls of stamps, you are doomed.
