Please help. C cast baffle has crack.

Below is a pic of my baffle that is cracked. Just noticed it. Had it cleaned last week and have been burning at 500-550 all day. Is it ok to still burn with this crack here? Spoke to chimney sweeper and he said it was fineto burn. I am just looking for conformation.

Short term yes, close up the gap if you can, but get it fixed. Did the sweep break it?
 
I don't think so. Just talk to someone on the phone and they said contact Vermont casting and it's still under warranty. Only a year and few months old.
