Portable ice makers

Anybody have any experience with them?

My wife has a severe addiction to eating ice that the ice maker in our freezer can't keep up with. I would like to get the trays, and maybe the ice maker, out of the freezer to make room for, well, food. Would be nice to take in the camper, too, and not buy so much ice while traveling.

Plus, her birthday is coming up, and I could score BIG points. I don't know anybody that has one, and trust opinions here more than what I can google.
