Looking for anyone near northern Niagara county (NY) that might want to get in on what now seems like a score too big for our storage capacities. We were offered a bunch of windfall/beetlekill from wooded acreage. Well, the land owner called earlier this week and said he skidded a few logs out. We drove by today and it was more like 30-40!! At this rate we're going to be in over our heads and out of places to put it! We're going to try to get ahold of him soon to see if he got carried away and this is a lot,or if this is just the tip of the iceberg. So...anyone interested? Looks like a lot of Scots but there is some box elder and ash mixed in too.

Good on you for offering to share. That's quite noble of you! Hopefully you find someone who will get involved with you and put all of that wood to good use......

I hope so! He's trying to clear out the windfall, etc that's junking up the woods so they can cut in nice paths. His FIL grew up there and was trying to cut paths with a mower before he got in with a brush hog and cleared a few. His FIL's health isn't that great now so he and his wife want to really clean it up so the FIL can see and enjoy it....So we'd like to help on that level too. But after last year's big score plus some other stuff we're getting a rather big pile. We need to keep it somewhat contained so we can't take on 100's of trees...hopefully someone up here needs heat too and can help us get this hauled out without burying us in it, lol.
